Coonawarra is well known to produce excellent examples of Cabernet Sauvignon. And while Coonawarra is a most deserving member of the Limestone Coast family, there are equally interesting Cabernets and Cabernet blends produced by lesser known regions. For the June/July issue, the GT WINE Magazine tasting panel tasted Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernets blends from Coonawarra, Wrattonbully, Mount Benson and Padthaway and were surprised with the quality and consistency of these benchmark reds. We were impressed to discover fine examples of younger wines while older, more mature wines were developing beautifully. This tasting is our pick of the bunch. Come and see for yourself. $55 per person
